Sagittarius New Moon at 28°

The last new moon of calendar year 2025 offers a glimpse of light, hope and optimism under Sagittarius's mutable fire influence . This lunar cycle, Sagittarius New Moon reminds us to renew our faith in abundance, expansion and freedom.

This new moon is squaring Neptune in Pisces, meaning you may feel the pressure around everyone's hype of 2026 being the year of the Fire Horse (after Lunar New Year on Feb 17, 2026) to make the dream you've been telling everyone about happen.

But remember: we're heading into a winter reason of rest.

It's okay to take your time laying the groundwork before galloping into action as this Sagittarius New Moon may tempt you to do.

Signs that need to pay attention to this new moon

♐️

Sagittarius Sun, Moon, or Rising

♊️

Gemini Sun, Moon, or Rising

♓️

Pisces Sun, Moon, or Rising

♍️

Virgo Sun, Moon, or Rising

All the mutable signs may be feeling more affected by this new moon (especially if you have later degree placements 25-29°). You may be feeling extra tired or fatigued as the moon wanes into darkness. These signs also may feel super ready for a sense of renewal and rebirth. Or feeling called to contemplate deeply through the lens of your emotions this period.

My guidance for these signs: before you jump into change or an evolution, honor what got you to this point.

  3. Press and lift the hips up, seal the foot of the long leg on the Earth. Keep the knee of the half-butterfly leg grounded
