2025 Astrology Wrapped

A Year of Endings & Deep Transformation

So many people I know experienced 2025 as a challenging year — one filled with endings, internal shifts, identity changes, and quiet (or not-so-quiet) transformations.

From a numerology lens, 2025 was a 9 year, a number associated with completion, closure, and release. In astrology, we also saw something rare and significant: four slower-moving outer planets shifted into new signs — largely moving from earth and water signs into fire and air — before retrograding back.

This gave us a preview of a new generational energy. A taste of what’s coming. While 2025 stirred it awake, 2026 is where we’ll begin to truly ground into it.

The Astrology of 2025: Major Transits & Wellness Support

Let’s dive into the astrology of 2025. Below, I’m highlighting some of the major planetary movements that were widely discussed this year — what they actually mean, and how you can work with their energy through practical, embodied wellness tools (especially as some of these transits echo into 2026).

January 11, 2025: The Nodes Shift into Pisces & Virgo

We began the year with the North and South Nodes shifting into Pisces and Virgo, starting a new 18‑month cycle that lasts until July 2026.

This nodal shift marks a collective karmic reorientation:

  • North Node in Pisces invites us toward intuition, spirituality, compassion, and trust

  • South Node in Virgo asks us to release over‑analysis, perfectionism, and excessive mental control

We are learning to soften, surrender, and listen — while loosening our grip on the need to have everything logically mapped out.

Wellness practices to support this energy:

  • Yoga Nidra

  • Oracle or tarot card pulls

  • Watercolor painting or intuitive art

  • Ocean‑inspired circular breathing

Mars Retrograde: Leo into Cancer

We started the year with Mars retrograde, moving from Leo back into Cancer. When Mars finally stationed direct on February 23, many of us felt like we were waking up from a long holiday fog.

Motivation slowly returned. Energy began to move forward again.

That said, with Mars in Cancer, the drive felt softer. Goals may have required more emotional safety, rest, and patience. Rather than pushing ahead, many of us needed to nurture ourselves before taking action.

Wellness practices to embody this transit:

  • Half Moon → Warrior III transitions

  • Moving slowly, imperfectly, and with grace

  • Allowing strength to coexist with vulnerability

March 30, 2025: Neptune Enters Aries

One of the most significant shifts of the year happened on March 30, when Neptune moved into Aries.

Neptune changes signs every 14 years, so this marked a major energetic turning point.

This transit brought a sobering blend of spirituality and reality. Rather than collectively believing in the same ideals, we began to develop more individualized spiritual paths. The haze of Neptune in Pisces started to lift, offering clarity around what may have felt confusing, idealized, or disillusioning over the past decade.

With Neptune in Aries, spirituality becomes personal, embodied, and courageously lived — not just imagined.

Wellness practices to support this shift:

  • Sauna meditation

  • Breath awareness with heat or intensity

  • Practices that connect intuition with action

April–December 2025: The Integration Phase

As the year continued, the astrology of 2025 asked us not just to notice change — but to live it, metabolize it, and respond differently than we had before.

Below is a month-by-month energetic overview, continuing in the same spirit: what was activated collectively, and how you might have felt it in your body and inner world.

April–May: Reorientation & Emotional Honesty

After Neptune’s move into Aries, many of us spent the spring recalibrating. There was a sense of: “I can’t unknow what I now see.” Emotional truth surfaced, sometimes quietly, sometimes abruptly.

This period asked for gentleness. Forward motion existed, but it wasn’t linear. Old identities softened, and new motivations began to form beneath the surface.

Wellness support:

  • Somatic journaling (writing from sensation, not logic)

  • Yin yoga for the hips and heart space

  • Long exhales to regulate the nervous system

June–July: Revisiting the Past with New Awareness

As several planets slowed, retrograded, or revisited familiar territory, themes from earlier in the year resurfaced — but differently.

What once felt overwhelming now felt workable. What once felt confusing now carried language. This was less about fixing and more about integrating.

Wellness support:

  • Gentle repetition-based movement

  • Walking meditations

  • Reflecting on how your reactions have changed since January

August: Momentum Returns (with Intention)

August carried a noticeable shift in vitality. Energy became more available, but it asked to be directed consciously.

Rather than burning forward, this was about choosing what — and who — deserved your life force. Many people felt clearer about boundaries, priorities, and personal truth.

Wellness support:

  • Strength-building practices paired with rest

  • Solar plexus breathwork

  • Asking: Where does my energy actually want to go?

September: Discernment & Refinement

September brought a quieter, more discerning tone. Less urgency, more precision. This was a month of editing — habits, commitments, beliefs.

You may have noticed a stronger inner compass guiding decisions, even if they didn’t always make logical sense.

Wellness support:

  • Decluttering physical spaces

  • Single-tasking instead of multitasking

  • Practices that cultivate inner listening

October: Emotional Maturity & Depth

October invited emotional honesty without collapse. Feelings could be felt fully — without being consumed by them.

This was a powerful time for relational healing, shadow work, and reclaiming emotional agency.

Wellness support:

  • Slow, grounded movement

  • Journaling around emotional patterns

  • Breath practices that anchor you into the body

November: Closure & Soul-Level Release

As the year wound down, November carried a strong sense of closure. Not dramatic endings — but quiet, internal ones.

You may have felt ready to release stories, roles, or expectations that no longer matched who you had become.

Wellness support:

  • Rituals of release (burning, burying, water ceremonies)

  • Restorative yoga

  • Gratitude practices for what is ending

December: Integration & Preparation for 2026

December asked us to pause.

Rather than rushing ahead, the energy supported reflection, embodiment, and honoring the wisdom gained throughout the year. This was about harvesting — recognizing how much you’ve grown, even if the growth was invisible while it was happening.

This reflective energy is exactly what inspired the 2025 Astrology Wrapped Retreat — a space to consciously integrate the year before stepping into what’s next.

Closing Thoughts

2025 asked a lot of us. It invited endings, release, and deep inner reckoning — but also offered clarity, healing, and the seeds of something new.

As we move toward 2026, these lessons don’t disappear. They integrate.
